Between meetings, school drop-offs, and Minnesota summer activities, it can be tough for Rochester professionals to squeeze in a workout. High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) solves that problem by packing maximum calorie burn into 20-30 minutes.
1. Downtown Dash & Burpees (20 minutes)
Jog 2 minutes, 15 burpees, Sprint 1 minute, Walk 1 minute (repeat 5x).
2. Lunch-Break Ladder (25 minutes)
Perform 10 kettlebell swings + 10 goblet squats. Rest 30 sec. Then 9 swings + 9 squats… down to 1.
3. Evening EMOM (Every Minute on the Minute)
Set a 15-minute timer. At the top of each minute: 8 push-ups, 10 jump squats, 12 mountain climbers.
4. Saturday Sweat Partner Circuit (30 minutes)
Battle ropes, Box jumps, Rowing machine, Plank shoulder taps. Complete 5 rounds.
Summer Safety Tips
- Hydrate: Aim for 1/2 oz of water per pound of bodyweight.
- SPF: Apply sunscreen even for early-morning runs.
